Manage Your Racking Safely - The Need To Inspect
(ONE DAY COURSE) refreshments included
This one-day seminar will increase your ability to assess the potential dangers of racking systems, teach you how to plan your internal inspections and use evidence of what will happen if you don’t take care.
What is more, once you have completed the course, the benefits that you will gain will highly satisfy you. When you use your knowledge of current legislation learnt from the seminar and put into practice a management system on your racking, you will find a reduction in repair costs and have less damage to valuable stock due to a decrease in damaged racking. Both of these reductions will also significantly lower the risk of injury to personnel and also lower liability.
You will learn this knowledge from the topics below: -
1. How the effects of moving beam levels will have a major impact on the load capability.
2. Correct positions of pallets and correct aisle clearances.
3. How to look for the damage ‘hot spots’ and also look for hidden dangers.
4. Relevant SEMA Guidelines and what legislation you must enforce.
5. The importance of load notices, rack end protectors and column guards.
6. Be shown how to carry out an inspection by a professional consultant. He’ll demonstrate what to look for by using the correct tools and an example of a damaged bay of racking.
On the day you will be supplied with a copy of our Guide to Management and Safe use of Pallet Racking Publication, obtain a SEMA approved Certificate of Attendance and enjoy a quality selection of buffet food and drink.
